Deadline extended!!! The 2015 Wedding Photography Giveaway is open until March 15th, 2014!

2015 Wedding Photography Giveaway - The Details!

Because I truly believe all blog posts are just better with a photo.
Especially a couple as gorgeous and in love as these two.

Well, it turns out Lynsey and I had SO much fun with our 2014 Wedding Photography Giveaway that we're doing it again! That's right, our SECOND ANNUAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY GIVEAWAY is HERE!!!
"Isn't it a little early?", you might ask? Well, the short answer would be both yes AND no. We had planned to wait until April to announce the giveaway, but since we have both started getting requests and bookings for 2015 already, we decided NOW was the time, to ensure we still have many dates open to choose from!
All right, let's get started! The rules for this giveaway will work pretty much the same way as last year, but most importantly: Anyone, anywhere can win this giveaway. The wedding does not have to take place, nor does the couple have to be from the Minot area. The couple who wins can be married anywhere in the world! The winning couple will receive up to 10 hours of wedding day coverage with not one, but TWO fun, lovely, and house-trained photographers (oh, and we're pretty funny too), and a disc and online gallery of images with printing rights from their wedding day!
You can nominate yourself, co-workers, friends, or family (the only stipulation is they need to be getting married in 2015!) Nominations are due by March 15th, 2014, at midnight. Lynsey and I will choose three finalists and will post them on our blogs/Facebook for a week along with their stories and pictures. A panel of highly qualified judges, as chosen by Lynsey and myself, will get to choose the winner. The winning entry will be announced on March 22nd, 2014!
So how do you nominate someone? All you need to do is email me at info@tgphotographyweddings.com with the subject line ‘Giveaway’. The following information needs to be included in the email:

2. Ages of the couple

3. Wedding date (must be in 2015)

4. Couple’s phone and email address

5.  Nominator’s phone and email address (if not nominating yourself)

6. How the couple met + their love story

7. Location of the wedding (city, state, country + venues)

8. Is there any special theme to their wedding day?

9. Why does the couple deserve this prize?

2014 Wedding Photography Giveaway

To truly be free is to be able to do something because you want to, not because you HAVE to. I have been so lucky that both my primary career and my wonderful and supportive family have allowed me the opportunity to do something I truly love, which is to photograph couples as they start their lives together. In addition to that, the couples I’ve been lucky enough to work with these last 5 years have truly enriched my life and given me so much joy and happiness, and I thought it was time to give back a little.
So…I’m so excited to announce our First Annual Wedding Photography Giveaway! (Insert streamers and balloons and a loud cheering crowd here!) BUT WAIT! It.Gets.Better!! The truly lovely and incredibly talented Lynsey of Lynsey Frey Photography (check her out HERE or HERE)has agreed to partner with me on this giveaway – meaning not one, but TWO photographers will be capturing your big day!
So how will this all work? For starters, anyone, anywhere can win this giveaway. The wedding does not have to take place, nor does the couple have to be from, the Minot area. The couple who wins can be married anywhere in the world! The winning couple will receive 10 hours of wedding day coverage with Tammy and Lynsey, and a disc and online gallery of images with printing rights from their wedding day!
You can nominate yourself, co-workers, friends, or family (the only stipulation is they need to be getting married in 2014!) Nominations are due by August 22nd, 2013 at midnight. Kenyatta & Ty | Minot Wedding Photographer

Like a lot of couples, Kenyatta and Ty met at a place where we spend so much of our time - at work. And work to get her Ty did. Having recently gotten out of a relationship, she was not looking for The One...but Ty knew Kenyatta was just that for him, and was determined to get her. After asking three times, she finally agreed to go out with him. And after three years of dating, they will marry this summer. I would say three is a pretty lucky number for these two...and sometimes when fate, a little bit of luck, and a lot of persistence combine, you wind up living your dream.

I feel very lucky to get the chance to work with such a couple as fun-loving as Kenyatta and Ty. Thank you for choosing me to share in the beginning of your dreams.

*Please feel free to tag yourself & others, or use the images on your Facebook page but please do not alter, crop or remove our logo. Thanks!*

Oh, Kenyatta. Rawr.

Stephanie + Tony | Minot Wedding Photographer

Stephanie and Tony met in the cafeteria line at the Georgia college they both attended. They took notice of each other, and the rest as they say, is history. They have been together ever since, through Tony joining the Air Force, going through Basic Training and then being stationed in Japan for two years...through Stephanie graduating college and moving to be with the love of her life at his next military assignment - Minot, North Dakota.

To say this is the ultimate act of love is an understatement. Stephanie came here from Georgia just in time for winter to arrive, bringing with it cold, snow, and icy roads few people from outside of this state could ever comprehend...let alone willingly move to.

Stephanie & Tony got married on one of these very snowy, cold days in December. Since they are both so far from home and family it was just the two of them that day, but you could feel the love of their families surrounding them...through good luck charms and phone calls from as far away as England.

Tony & Stephanie, I am honored that you chose me to be part of your day and to *literally* witness the beginning of your life together. Thank you.

Megan + Shane | Minot Wedding Photographer

I used to think Spring, Summer, and Fall were the best time of year to shoot engagement sessions...basically, anything but the middle of winter here in North Dakota.

That was until I had the pleasure of shooting a December engagement session at the request of Megan & Shane. Now I'm trying to convince more couples to go out in the snow to play while I take their photos. :)

What made it so great, though, was Megan and Shane. They were both truly happy and so positive (even when it started to feel REALLY cold out there), and came with fantastic ideas and an incredible sense of creativity (see Shane's amazing snow heart!).

Megan and Shane, I cannot wait to share in your big day. And if it happens to snow next September 21st, I know someone who can make us a great snow heart. :)

Cortney + Ryan | Minot Wedding Photographer

They met in Junior High right here in Minot, North Dakota, but went on to live in separate states after high school. So separate, in fact, they were at opposite ends of the country – he in Virginia, she in Washington State. But neither time, circumstances, nor distance, could keep them apart.

That’s how fate works.

Cortney and Ryan came home to North Dakota to get married on this beautiful Saturday in June, but in reality, their marriage itself is just as much a coming home for this sweet, funny, and amazing couple.

A little love to some of the businesses that
made this vintage-inspired wedding happen:

Hair  ~ Headquarters Salon
Flowers ~ Country Meadows
Ceremony ~ Carnegie Center
Reception ~ International Inn
Cake ~ Lalee Cakes
DJ ~ Magic City Music Factory

Cortney, seriously...rawr. You are gorgeous beyond words.

Love love LOVE Cortney's brooch bouquet.

Not only did Cortney & Ryan become husband and wife, together with Ryan's beautiful daughters
Kaylee & Cadence, they became a family.

It is a tie between this photo and the next for favorite of the day.

Back to where it all began...

This is what love looks like.
